While the text in Hebrews 11:6 tells us the essentiality of faith to Christian life, Romans 12:3 tells us that it is God who places the initial measure of faith in each of us that allows us to believe (according to Heb. 11:6). Romans 12:3 NKJV [3] For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Further, the concept of God being the first mover in our faith experience is attested to in Phil. 2:13 Philippians 2:13 NKJV [13] for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
